Bring the family out to the coast for a fun-filled session by the sea! Auckland’s coastline is utter magic. The way the light dances on the waves, the incredible mirror effect created by the tide upon black iron sand, the rugged cliffs and the phenomenal sunsets are just awe-inspiring. These are photos you’ll want to print BIG!!

Emphasis is placed on creating strong, meaningful imagery that reflects who you are as a family, as well as showcasing the breathtaking scenery. I would like to help you freeze those special, real moments in an authentic & creative way - your family’s unique visual story! Make sure to book well in advance, especially if you have a particular date in mind. I can only take a few Salt & Sky sessions a month.

FAMILY STORY SESSION

Up to 1 hr sessions | Mon-Sat

At home or on location, these sessions (depending on your selected package) will cater for kids, parents, grandparents, siblings, couples and don’t forget your furry family members! Pets are always welcome.

No awkward posing, no forced smiles... I want you to be yourselves and feel free to play, get close, have cuddles, laugh together and enjoy your time together with me. Kids don’t like to sit still for long so I will happily follow and chat with them as they play and explore if that’s going to get the best result. I do really love to see their personalities so feel free to let them muck around a bit - it definitely helps them feel at ease with me and those shots are often the best! When a little gentle direction is required I’ll step in, so you can relax and be assured that as long as I’m still shooting, you’re doing everything absolutely right!

LIFESTYLE NEWBORN SESSION

up to 1 hr session | Mon-Sat

Lifestyle newborn sessions are held in the comfort of your own home and will produce a collection of timeless, emotive images.

With these sessions there is no elaborate posing, just plenty of real memories of these special early days as a newly expanded family.

I will visit your home sometime within the first month of your baby’s birth and spend time capturing all the sweet details and precious moments you don’t want to forget… just make sure you book early, ideally as soon as you know your due date!

MATERNITY SESSION

Capture this incredible time with a series of beautiful portraits, shot either at home or at one of the central city's beaches or parks. The best time to shoot maternity sessions is around 30-35 weeks.

FAMILY MINI

30min sessions

Either at home or at one of Sophie’s fave local spots, mini-sessions are perfect for those who need a quick update, perhaps between Family Sessions or just to mark a special milestone.
